I absolutely loved the Inspector Lynley Mysteries, I have the entire series, watched it when it was first being broadcast here in the US.

I've seen a very large number of the BBC Inspector shows. I grew up watching them, but I genuinely find them way more interesting and they grab my attention better than US tv shows (though I can certainly get sucked into shitty "Reality TV" shows like anyone else).

My sister likes Havers more than Lynley in the series, but I like the whole series because it wouldn't be the same if it were flipped around or changed. It was a really well thought out series.

Have you discovered Endeavour , the Morse prequel? Outstanding, and has John Thaw's daughter Abigail in a supporting role. Two seasons - I think they're both on Netflix instant.

I think i've caught a couple episodes of it, but with my new job, I have less time to seek out these episodes. I did like Morse a lot, but Endeavor I'm not sure I've seen much of, I'd have to go through previews and see if I recognize it or not.
